Georgian-Russian war

Having watched western media reports of the Georgian-Russian conflict for the last couple of days, it's ridiculous how incredibly ignorant the coverage has been.

First of all: The Georgian president started the war, killing hundreds if not thousands of Ossetians. Being Russia's backyard, are the Russians supposed to just stand there watching their peacekeepers being killed?

And what is this whole deal about the Georgian president spending hours a day to give interviews on live TV to western media, pretty much every media outlet out there, spreading ridiculous unsubstantiated charges that are never fact checked? And on top of it all, he also had time to write an article in the Wall Street Journal, in the middle of a very nascent war! Hello!? This smells way too much puppet regime!

This pretty much sums it up for me:

As usual, Bush, Cheney and McCain are on the clueless side. Not that Bush cares anyway, he was pinching American beach volleyball players in Beijing instead of mediating the conflict! Ridiculous...

Update: Also have to add this article:

Update: Fox News inadvertently put this on the air:
